EXODUS To Play Entire 'Bonded By Blood' Album On 'Thrash Domination 2009' Japanese Tour
April 22, 2009San Francisco Bay Area thrash legends EXODUS will perform their classic debut album, "Bonded By Blood", in its entirety each night of their Thrash Domination 2009 tour in Japan. Also appearing on the bill are KREATOR, TESTAMENT and HEATHEN.
The dates are as follows:
* Sep. 16 - Osaka - Shangri-La (EXODUS)
* Sep. 18 - Nagoya - Club Quattro (EXODUS, KREATOR)
* Sep. 19 - Kawasaki - Club Citta' (TESTAMENT, EXODUS, KREATOR, HEATHEN)
* Sep. 20 - Kawasaki - Club Citta' (TESTAMENT, EXODUS, KREATOR, HEATHEN)
EXODUS is currently putting together a DVD containing the band's 2008 performance at Germany's Wacken Open Air festival, plus a 90-minute documentary as well as about 30 minutes of bonus footage, and all of the group's promotional videos. The set will consist of two DVDs plus an audio CD of the Wacken performance and is expected to be released in August.
British extreme metal drumming legend Nick Barker (CRADLE OF FILTH, TESTAMENT, DIMMU BORGIR, BRUJERIA, ATROCITY) filled in for EXODUS' Tom Hunting during the band's recent European tour with OVERKILL.
"Let There Be Blood", the controversial re-recording of EXODUS' classic 1985 debut album "Bonded by Blood", has been released on limited-edition red vinyl. Only 2,500 numbered copies are available via Zaentz Records' web site.
"Let There Be Blood" sold 2,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Issued on October 28 through Zaentz Records, the CD was recorded at Sharkbite Studios in Oakland, California; JKZ Production Studio in San Rafael, California; with vocal tracks recorded at J. Rod Production Studios in New City, New York. Andy Sneap mixed the album at his Backstage studio in Derbyshire, England.
